Feast of San Gennaro
The feast of San Gennaro is a free 11-day festival held in Little Italy every year. This festival is for the celebration of the martyred third century bishop and patron saint of Naples. The main attractions here are the daily live musical performances, the cannoli eating competition and the amazing treats sold by the vendors.
New York Book Fair
For those who love the arts and reading, New York in September is the place to be. There are over 15,000 artists, authors, curators, collectors, dealers, independent publishers and other enthusiasts at the annual New York Book Fair.
Labor Day Parade
The first Monday in September is a tribute to workers and has been celebrated since 1884. Labor Day is the last great fun-filled event of the summer, especially for those who are heading back to school.
